We are so ready for summer at our house! I'm not sure what we are going to do to fill our time, but we'll think of something! Brooke begs me constantly for friends to play with--and this is all new territory for me. I'm not sure what is acceptable among moms for setting up playdates--I worry that Brooke is bugging them too much play so I tell her we can't always play with friends and she's been having a hard time with that.
Brooke loves her bubbles (this was her prize for filling up her fuzzy jar). Just after this picture, Porter dumped almost the entire bottle all over the deck.

The doctor is slightly concerned that he's not walking yet. And slightly concerned that he can really only say 2 words (ma-ma, da-da). When he asked me if Porter could point to parts on his face I almost laughed out loud. I got a good dose of guilty mom. I know I've slacked when it comes to working with Porter. I'm proud to say, though, that only a few days later Porter added back in a 3rd word to his vocabulary (uh-oh) and can now sign "milk" so we're making progress.
Poor baby, teething is still giving us nightmares. I tried to take a cute picture of him in his room and this is what I got. It pretty much sums up our life right now.

Your camera takes great pictures! Love your new skirt! We are ready for summer around here too. As far as playdates go, I don't think you can have too many. Brooke is ready for playdates because she has finally reached the age where she is ready for constant peer interaction. My Brooke is the same way and they both still have another year before they go to Kindergarten! I have always done a playdate co-op. A group of mom drop their kids off once a week and we all rotate houses. I am terrible at scheduling playdates for my kids. Terrible. As for Summer, I like my friends idea of giving each day a theme. I can't remember all of her days but she has teaching Tuesday (where they will learn to cook), Wet Wednesday (swim), Thinking Thursday (Library day) Field Trip Friday etc... I am beyond ready for summer!

So glad you had a good mother's day. I'm not as easy as you are to please - haha! Tell Blake he's a lucky man! For some reason, I just don't feel as anxious this time around making sure milestones are hit. It's almost as if I know Ruby is healthy and growing and will be fine. Like the rolling/crawling/scooting....it will come eventually! Mr. Porter looks like he's developing just fine. Why rush it!?!
