In the heat of summer...

How we stay cool in the summertime...Grant's first time at the splash park. He was so curious about everything and loved trying to get a drink from sprinklers.

Brooke is Miss Social so she was always off with friends she'd made. Grant is a busybody and doesn't need anyone for him to explore and have fun. Porter was kind of left to his own devices. He ended up making friends with an older girl with some mental disabilities and they got along great! She let him use her really cool squirter and they ran around pretending to put our fires. It was really cute.

Brooke cut 6 inches off her hair! It's a big change for her (and mom) but it's so much easier to brush the tangles out and to manage in the summer!

Another day when it was hot, we went with some friends to hang out on the beach at the lake. The kids had fun playing in the sand and swimming. Again, this was a first for Grant and he wasn't too sure he liked getting sand all over his hands.

Porter is Mr. Projet-Guy. He went back and forth carrying buckets of sand and collecting tree limbs. He was totally entertained.

Grant was finally happy sitting on the blanket and eating crackers.
Our library has a great summer reading program. Their dinosaur hats were a fun craft they made one week at story-time

Brooke looks SO grown up with her hair cut! It's amazing how a hair cut can do that. Looks like you are having a fun summer. It is going by too fast!
