First Lake Day of the Year

We went out on the boat with Blake's parents last Wednesday--our first lake day this summer. The water was still a little chilly, but that didn't stop anyone from going for a swim!

Brooke surprised us this year by volunteering to ski first. This was her first year that we didn't have to bribe her to ski and Blake wasn't in the water helping her up on the board--she did it all by herself! Her first attempt she fell over and there were a few tears, but her second try to popped right up and was all smiles!

Grant loved watching all the action!

Then Porter decided he wanted to ski (We may have bribed him with a package of Oreo's). After a lesson from Dad, he was in the water and ready to go!
Blake helped him get up, but he did it! First attempt and no tears!

After Porter skied, I said to myself "Well, if my 4 year old can ski, I have no excuse not to get out there!" I had my turn on the wake skate.
We stopped at the beach for some lunch.

 The kids tubed again.
 And Grant fell asleep.
It was a good day.
