We celebrated the 4th of July with our usual stop at the morning parade. The kids get super excited and are so cute and fun to watch. Grant was really interested in everything going this year--he didn't even want to sit in his stroller. He wanted to be sitting by the other kids or in dad's lap.
After the parade, Blake set up this fun slip n slide for the kids. It's so fun as a wife and mom to see him be silly and interact with the kids. Blake works so hard for our family and such long hours that we love when he has days off and we get to be together.
That evening we invited a couple families over for a BBQ at our house and then went together to watch the fireworks. It was a long, fun-filled day. As always, I'm so grateful for the country in which I am blessed to live. I feel safe and happy in my community and know that there are brave men and women who have fought, and continue to fight, so we can continue to enjoy these freedoms.
